こんなことができるらしい。昔MC68030用にカリカリにチューンしたのを思い出す。

-march=armv7-a -mtune=cortex-a8 -ftree-vectorize -mhard-float -mfloat-abi=softfp -mfpu=neon -mvectorize-with-neon-quad

それぞれのオプションを調べてみる。

-march=armv7-a (target)
- ターゲットアーキテクチャの名前を指定する
-mtune=cortex-a8 (target)
- Tune code for the given processor
-ftree-vectorize (optimizer)
- Enable loop vectorisation on trees
-mhard-float (target)
- Alias for -mfloat-abi=hard
-mfloat-abi=softfp (target)
- Specify if floating point hardware should be used
-mfpu=neon (target)
- Specify the name of the target floating point hardware/format
-mvectorize-with-neon-quad (target)
- Use Neon quad-word (rather than double-word) registers for vectorization

試しにこないだ作ったpulseaudioのdebian/rules改変。

追記:
gccが4.3.3だとまだARMかNeonの最適化部分うまく動いてないのかなあ。4.3.3自体は

--with-arch=armv5t --with-tune=cortex-a8

でコンパイルされているので、このオプションでひとまず実験してみるかな? しかしpulseaudioのフルビルドは3時間ちょいかかるんだ…
